or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting any orders.
1. Services Provided
Lemon Legal provides professional process-serving services across California.
Services include delivery of legal documents such as summons, complaints, subpoenas, notices, and other court documents.
Service types include Routine, Rush, and Same-Day (subject to availability).
Upon completion of service, you will receive proof of service documentation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to request process-serving services.
By submitting an order, you confirm that the documents provided are lawful, accurate, and complete.
3. Client Responsibilities
By placing an order, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information (including names, addresses, deadlines, and supporting documents).
Confirm that the documents you request to serve are legally valid.
Authorize Lemon Legal to share necessary information with assigned process servers.
Pay all applicable service fees prior to service being performed.
4. Service Limitations
We cannot guarantee successful service in every case (e.g., recipient avoidance, incorrect addresses, or refusal).
We make reasonable attempts in accordance with California law. If service cannot be completed, you will be notified.
Lemon Legal is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., incorrect client information, recipient’s unavailability, or force majeure events).
5. Pricing & Payment
Routine services typically range from $55.99 to $90.99, depending on location.
Rush service is available for an additional $50 surcharge.
Payment is due at the time of order submission via our secure payment processor.
All fees are non-refundable once attempts at service have begun.
6. Proof of Service
Once service is completed, we provide official proof of service documentation in compliance with California state requirements.
Proof of service is sent electronically to the client email provided at the time of order.
7. Confidentiality & Privacy
All client and case information is handled in compliance with our Privacy Policy.
Legal documents and personal information are only shared with authorized process servers and, when required, courts or law enforcement.
8. No Legal Advice
Lemon Legal is a process-serving company, not a law firm.
We do not provide legal advice, representation, or guidance.
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that documents served are legally valid and filed correctly.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lemon Legal shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Delays or failures beyond our reasonable control.
Misuse of information provided by the client.
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
Orders may be canceled before service attempts begin for a partial refund (minus administrative fees).
Once service attempts are initiated, no refunds are available.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of California.
12. Updates to Terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
